It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

20 Dec

mon sapin de noël / my christmas tree

It’s been 10+ years…

-since I had a real Christmas tree
-since I really felt “at home”

It’s the first time….

-that I made eggnog
-hosted a Christmas party

Sometimes it takes changing countries…

With my adorable little Christmas tree, having had a wonderful Christmas party (including eggnog, or in French, lait de poule), papillotes, after having sent out gifts and cards, decorations, Christmas lights illuminating my street, after having had many glasses of vin chaud (and even green chaud) and after 3 days of snow… It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

If life à la New-Yorkaise was The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, it’s life à la Française is the je ne sais quoi giving it back.

    Green chaud? C’est quoi ça? I’m intrigued….

What a beautiful tree you have!!! Isn’t it so nice that you don’t have to put it in a tree stand? I’m just loving everyone’s Christmas posts…I can’t believe we’re only a few days away…my, my how time flies.

If we don’t “chat” before..I want to wish you a Merry Christmas! : )

Green chaud is hot chocolate with a shot of Chartreuse (a digestif made in this region by monks for centuries – I’ve visited the monastery, about 30 mins drive from the city).

Thanks for the compliment! Ha I’m proud of my little tree. Yes, ‘was so nice not having the need to buy a stand! I still have sooo many posts to make; so behind. o_O

Yes, if we don’t chat before, Have a very Merry Christmas Ella! Hope all is well in NY. The Italian food and wine sounds deeelish! Mmmm.
