Making Kimchi & Kakdugi (Spicy fermented cabbage and radish)

J’ai pris quelques photos pendant que j’ai fait du Kimchi (aux huitres) ! Kimchi n’existe pas à Grenoble, mais c’est pas grave, c’est mieux fait maison !

I took some shots while I was making Kimchi (with oysters)! Kimchi doesn’t exist in Grenoble, but it’s no biggie, it’s better homemade!

some of the ingredients! very healthy and spicy :-)
almost ready! after all the ingredients are mixed together, the last step is to add the cabbage.

  1. You can but jars of Kimtchi at the Vietnamese gorcery store on the Rue Nicolas Chorier (corner of Avenue de Vizille). Waht did you do with the oysters?

    1. Hey thanks for stopping by! Yes, they have jars of Kimchi but I’ve tried it and it’s not fresh nor tasty (IMO) — lots of added preservatives and stuff..doesn’t taste good & great way to get stomach pain! I’ve yet to find fresh kimchi outside of Paris that tastes like the real deal — but if you find it let me know! In any case, nothing beats homemade kimchi-kakdugi!
