Wow, you’re here reading my blog. Thanks for stopping by! Grenobloise came about upon moving to Grenoble in the spring of 2011, from NYC, one year after finishing art school. Traveling goes hand-in-hand with my creative process and provides great inspiration for my paintings, which range from landscapes to city and interior scenes to people and nude figures.
Part of my creative process and personal joy is to take pictures everywhere I go. As a foodie, I also often document what I eat. In my personal life, I am always seeking out the best of everything, and those little secrets that all cities have. Especially restaurants and pretty, unique places. Instead of keeping all of this to myself, as someone who loves to share and inspire (I’m an artist after all!), I decided to put all of these adventures, tips and musings into a blog! I used to be a web designer, so it was pretty easy! Now, I didn’t think anyone would read it, but as people started commenting and subscribing, the pleasure of sharing my experiences with others only increased.
It all started as a blog about Grenoble and the Alps, and my blog was the first real Grenoble blog (ditto for my Instagram), but as I traveled and also got a second home in Paris, this blog has opened up to sharing experiences in Grenoble, Paris and around the world. I have also exhibited quite a bit, so whenever I have a show, I try and share it here as well. I went through a strong cooking phase as well during my homesick expat phase, so you’ll see some random recipes here too!
I’m still searching for egg sandwiches in France by the way! If you know where I can find one, or if you have any other questions or comments, or would like to become a blog or IG sponsor, please get in touch!
