As Promised: Purple Trees!

It was a lazy Sunday car ride through the Alpine countryside south of Grenoble during the end of the first week of November. Purple. Yellow. Cows. Donkeys. Horses. Waterfalls. Rocks and colorful trees. Snow-capped mountains. Like promised in this post, here are my end-of-autumn photos: 15 photos of pure beauty!

Pure beauty is right! I cannot get enough of your stunning photographs! The 5th and 8th are especially appealing to me, I think because I love the mountain views in the background.

I agree with you with the 5th and 8th one, they both have a nice foreground and the backgrounds show a lot of depth and contrast. I’m so glad you like the photos! I was thinking to myself, “Is it just me or are these landscapes stunning?!”. I want to paint them all!

I did not Photoshop them at all either! Too bad, you must see these trees.. they only exist in Grenoble. 😉

Beautiful pictures! I’ve always wanted to take pictures of the Isere in Autumn now I don’t have to, yours are gorgeous and are glorious eye candy!

Merci beaucoup! I’m so glad these pics are being viewed by people like you who appreciate nature and beauty. I was lucky to have gotten out that day; it was a spur-of-the-moment decision! Amazing what a simple car ride in the countryside can turn into. If I had my own car I’d get out more often, especially in Autumn! Maybe I should create a calendar, ha ha.

Agreed, these are great posts! I didn’t even know you had a new blog! I’m going to go through your entries shortly so I can catch up to your exciting new life abroad. It’s nice to be young and traveling – lucky you…

Hi Logan! This means A LOT coming from you. This is more of a photo blog but I’m getting more and more comfortable writing (in French and English! ha ha). I didn’t realize you hadn’t seen my blog; so glad you’re here and I’m honored to have you read my posts. I still have to add pics from last weekend’s Barcelona trip (was great!) and tomorrow I’m going to Provence and perhaps the weekend in Arles, etc. So much traveling these days (I’m working from home as well). Next week I plan to cover the Biennale de Lyon (Lyon’s an hour and 1/2 train ride away from me). I believe your blog was the 1st ever blog I started following; it’s so powerful, fun and inspiring and I’m thankful that you’re still writing. I love your photos too! I should make a section for “New York blogs” and add it here. 😀
