I am happy to discover this brand new Mexican restaurant: Viva Mexico. Finally, an authentic Mexican restaurant in Grenoble! What a dream! Maybe it’s no biggie for my dear fellow Grenoblois, but as an American, I am used to eating la comida latina; Latin American flavors like hot sauces, corn tortillas, cilantro, black beans, etc.

I ate so many dishes; it was hard to stop! Tacos, sopes, burritos… The prices are low and the ingredients are fresh. Kind service. I finished all of the sauces even if my tongue was burning. It’s that good!

My mouth waters every time I think of this damn place. I’ve made it there every week since… The owner recognizes me and it’s the only restaurant here that’s saved in my phone! Ha! It was REALLY good. That large burrito pictured is only 6 €. The guy even orders his corn tacos from Mexico (they don’t exist in France) and the couple working their are Mexican. I get to speak Spanish and they have a TV playing a Spanish channel. It’s like I’m transported back to NY!

I’m surprised that you haven’t found a good Mexican place in Paris!

  • […] 7.) For number 7 on my list, I want to cheat and give a shout out to both Mei Shan and Viva Mexico. I feel like it’s good to include a good Chinese stir-fry option, but also a fresh Mexican burrito/taco place especially since the summer’s coming and people should know where to get their tropical on. See my post on Mei Shan here and Viva Mexico here. […]
