Finally, Grenoble received a good amount of snowfall this week! This winter has been so strangely warm that it was quite lovely to be able leave my apartment and see snow and feel the crunch beneath my boots (I’ve experienced snow in higher altitudes regularly since late December, in Savoy and Switzerland, but not until this week at my home base!). It was also quite relaxing to look out my window with a hot cup of tea and watch the snowflakes dance. It’s been a while since I walked around Grenoble with my SLR; I’m quite pleased with my spontaneous photo session! It’s so refreshing to see my neighborhood looking drastically different. Check out my photos below! I hope that you enjoy them.

Whoa, that’s a sight different from Brooklyn, isn’t it? So beautiful.

I think the only thing I’m really really looking forward to as I get older is to get old enough to not work and then travel the world for a bit and see all the things I didn’t get to see when I was younger.

Or, I could just keep reading your blog and see Grenobloise and France…

Yes..quite different indeed! Although I did drool over the Central Park winter wonderland pics recently. NY is just so iconic and some of the shots are so timeless.

The thing about waiting until one is older is that long life is not a guarantee — although most people (with retirement benefits) do get there! The places my bf’s retired parents and aunts go to now, and how frequent they get to travel, is really wonderful!
I won’t have those benefits unfortunately; so I get around whenever I can!

Awe thanks — yeah you’ll get your French Alpine fix here I hope. Maybe eventually I’ll get to capture those mountain goats…
